onion-pyaz

How to read:

Gulabi hai iska chilka bahar

Kato ise to bahein ashru hazaar

Jaini, Brahman, Vaishnav karte na na

Na ho paye iska seva rozana

Dal sabzi mein lage iska tadka

Ye hai salad mein kaccha bhi padta

Batao zara kaun hai ye humraz

Ji haan ye hai paushtik pyaz

-Anushka Suri

English Translation:

It is a pinkish peel on its outer surface

When you cut it, tears flow down your eyes involuntqrily

Jains, Brahmins and Vaishbava say no to this

They ensure that they do not consume it daily

It is used as a tadka (flavoring agent) in pulses and vegetable preparations

It is also consumed in its raw form in salad

Can you guess which friend is this one?

Yes, it is the healthy vegetable onion.

Hindi Poem on Vegetable Okra –

okra

English Translation:

I have a green appearance

Filled with lots of seeds

I am dressed in circular triangles

You can eat me as a vegetable dish after cooking

Or you can prepare a painting

By putting colors on me

I give nutrition to body

I am Okra, I am not scared

If you wish to take my name in Hindi language

Then you should be addressing me as “Bhindi

Hindi Poem On Potato-

Potato

Shakal se bhalu hu

Kabhi matar ka sath nibhata

Koi mujhe ubaal ke khush hai

Koi hai tal ke French fries banata

Mere sath puri kachodi khao

Mere paranthe lassi ke sath chabao

Sab sabjiyo ke sath nibha lu

Haan, main hu wahi aalu

I am brown in appearance

I have a face like that of a bear

Yes, I am a potato

I am used as a filling in Samosa (an Indian snack)

Sometimes I am fried as a cutlet

Sometimes I accompany brinjal/eggplant as a dish

Sometimes I give company to peas as a dish

Some people are happy boiling me

Some like making my French fries

You can have puri kachodi (Indian snacks) with me

You can chew paranthas (Indian dish) made from me with lassi (salted yogurt drink in India)

I can be combined with all vegetables

Yes, I am the same potato
